Breaking News . . .

My Sister Terri and her husband Rock were just called to serve a two-year mission in UGANDA!!

They leave in June and will be working in the office. They just completed a five year mission in Salt Lake City and I guess thought they were ready for a little more adventure.

I am so excited for them--and a bit terrified as well. They were told they have to bring everything with them as you can't buy anything. How do you bring everything for two years?

And my husband and I have plans to fly to Israel fairly soon as well. Although the news out of Jerusalem this morning was a bit scary. We still feel good about going though. . . However if you want to pray for us . . . :-)

I talked with my mother and her comment to me was, "I sure wish you kids would all just stay home."

That is great news!
And I have friends who just returned from Jerusalem and had a great time. They never felt threatened at all.

Congrats to both you and your sister! It would be great to go to Israel at some point- though I'm not sure this is the point I want just yet. Be safe and have a terrific time!

Wow - what adventures here! Uganda - sounds like one of those games **if you have to spend 2 years on a dessert island, what would you bring** Goodness me, how to prepare!

And Israel . . . I've wanted to go there forever! What an experience . . makes my heart beat out loud just to think about it ;)

I loved this post. It looks like your sister will be in for some challenges; but I also imagine that she will have great blessings also.
I hope you can enjoy all the moments of your trip to Jerusalem.
Blessings to you! LeAnn

That is exciting and scary too.

My oldest son is leaving in a few weeks for Africa and he will be spending about 6 weeks in Uganda and I am terrified about it. Seriously not loving this new adventure he is going on.
It actually makes me feel better to read that they are sending Senior Missionaries there, etc...
