Oops! How did that get there?

I walked in the door after church today and my husband said, "You have something on the back of your skirt." I looked down at my white skirt and saw a brown sticky glob stuck right on my rear.

It looked like a squished Milk Dud.

I had to wonder, how did it get there? And how long had it been since it took up residence on my backside?

Was it there when I walked into the chapel and passed around flyers for our social this Friday to everyone seated?

Was it there when I walked to the front of the chapel to lead the music?

Was it there when I walked back to my seat after the sacrament and then back up to the front again for the closing song?

Was it there when I subbed in the fifteen year old Sunday School class?

Was it there during RS and when I walked across the parking lot to my car?

And what were people thinking when they saw a big brown glob on the back of my white skirt?

I am sure I have had more embarrassing moments in the past, and will probably have more in the future, but still . . .

Why didn't anyone else tell me?

I am surprised no one else would tell you--let's just hope the reason was because no one saw it or because it got stuck to your skirt much later than you might be thinking.

PS, loved your last post. I have to speak in sacrament meeting nect week about remembering and may use some of your thoughts.

I'm the one that tucks people's tags in their shirts when I see them out. Seriously, people let's help each other out.

I really dislike moments like that. Like Rebecca said, hopefully it was something from the seat in your car on the way home or something that wouldn't have involved other people at all.

Things like that seem to happen to me all the time. I just have to sort of laugh and chalk it up.

=)

We've all been in similar situations - that's why I can only imagine no one saw it, otherwise surely someone would have said something. It makes a funny story though, and it is good to be able to laugh at ourselves!

Oh man, I feel your pain. It's kinda like having lettuce in your teeth and no one says anything....

Oh Lori that is so funny! I'm sorry to laugh, but that would only happen to you! If I were in your ward I would have marched right up behind you and taken it off-you know that for sure. On a happy note, I'm sure nobody was looking at your bottom except for maybe Wes:-).

THAT is funny! Hopefully, you "picked" it up on the way home from church and it wasn't really there all day - yeah - go with that!

If I were there, I woulda told you.
I'm that friend.
The one that tells you your hair is flipped out like a cockatiel in the back,
or you have a little something in your teeth,
or gunk on the back of your skirt.
And I love people who tell me too!

I so needed a smile today and you gave it to me in this post. I do wonder why know one ever says anything when something like this happens. However, I think it becomes a funny experience later on. At least today I smiled and actually chuckled too.
Hugs to you! LeAnn
