My husband called me on the phone earlier today. He was filling out papers for new passports and had a few questions.
Him: "So are you 5'9"?"
Me: "No, I am 5'8".
Him: "What color is your hair?
Me: "Are you serious? You really don't know what color my hair is?"
Him: "Well, you might have changed it."
Me: (Thinking---since I had lunch with you an hour ago?) "It is brown."(And always has been except for a couple months 16 years ago)
Him: "What color are your eyes?"
Me: "You are kidding right? You have to know my eye color."
Him: "Well, I don't have your old passport in front of me so I don't know what it says."
Me: "We have been married 26 years. In all that time you have never looked at my eyes?
Him: "Oh, so they are green?"
Me: "No, they are blue/grey."
I think we need to spend a little more time together.

Ouch!!!
Oh, this sounds way too familiar. I am sorry because that is just what my hubby would be like too!
Ok-this made me giggle-probably because I can hear the same things coming out of my DH's mouth.
mine would ask the same thing...he never remembers i don't like cheese or mayonaise either, after 32 years.
Wow... I knew Dad tended to space out during our dinner conversations, but I thought he had at least paid attention to what you looked like. Maybe he just needs glasses? ;) Can't wait to see you guys!!!
Seriously LOL - I really am, this post is too funny. Gotta love those guys and their lack of attention to details:)
Maybe he's just a little stressed? Maybe you should dye your hair and get colored contacts and see if he notices . . .just saying . .
Funny story haha. But in dad's defense he did notice half way through dinner this summer when I dyed my hair black and hehehe that's a face I don't think I will ever forget :)
Maybe you could try something drastic like that!
Or maybe Valentine's Day you could give him a small picture of you to put in his wallet...
That sounds so much like my Mr. Wonderful.
just minor details, right?
My thought is this: YOU ARE SO MUCH MORE TO HIM THAN how tall you are or the color of your eyes, THAT those things don't matter. It's the way HE feels when you're in the room with him that matters most.
Now that's a happy thought, right?!
Hahaha! That made my day!
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time...
I can't thank you enough for the great belly-laugh I've had over this. In fact, I enjoyed such a deep histerical release that I should pay you!
Hilarious!
Have a fab weekend Lori.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :)
shush! Don't tell anyone, I actually turn 50 this year on my birthday - ha! So I'm trying to think of something special - if ya gotta turn 50 better do it with class! (still can't believe it's true though . . .)
